Live Oak Gottesman

Sandy Gottesman came to Austin as a UT freshman in 1969 and decided to make it his home. Thirty plus years later, true to that early decision, he is still here. And in those thirty plus years, has made an indelible mark on the City. Not only involved in some of the premier development projects that shape the City, he also has been involved in the restoration of historic downtown buildings, innovative reuse in Austin's warehouse/entertainment district, and in creating environmentally sensitive new space for Austin's growing economy. In his early career with Trammell Crow Company, Sandy progressed from leasing agent in 1973 to Regional President before he formed his own company in 1993.

Sandy's understanding of what clients need in order to grow their companies, coupled with his feel for the intangibles that make Austin unique, created the vision that guides The Gottesman Company - providing quality projects that give our tenants the facilities and amenities that they need and want while continuing to contribute to the community as a whole. Sandy's commitment to long-term value is also reflected in the team that works with him. Several members of The Gottesman Company team have worked together for up to 20 years.

Steve Mattingly first began working with Sandy in 1991 when both were at Trammell Crow Company. Recognizing the value that Sandy's vision and ethic brought to the development process, Steve joined The Gottesman Company just a few years after Sandy formed his own company. Steve's background in marketing, asset management, and public accounting bring added depth and understanding to the development and construction process.

Ron Greene also has a long-standing relationship with Sandy Gottesman. Having begun working with Sandy as controller for Trammell Crow's Austin properties in 1981, he brings years of experience in fiscal responsibility, asset management, and creative financial structures to The Gottesman Company mix. Ron's unique ability to meld the needs of the clients with the particular project and financial structure that best serves those needs gives The Gottesman Company flexibility and staying-power. That flexibility provides Sandy and Steve the opportunity to access the needs of the market and to invest resources in pre-development planning so that they can respond quickly to the needs of clients.
